- Pain from lumber region to toe

Sciatica - Overview
Sciatica is an inflammation of the supporting tissues of sciatic nerves of the legs. This condition is characterized by pain running from the lumbar (lower back) region to the back of the leg. Sciatica pain is felt in either one or both the legs. It is usually experienced after the age of 30 and goes on aggravating as the age increases.
Causes of Sciatica
Compression of spinal nerve due to ruptured vertebral disc in the spine, wrong posture such as sleeping in a curved position, slumping on chair, injury that hurts the lower back region, pregnancy, tumors, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis can be the causes for sciatic pains. Contraction of muscle, disc dislocation, infections of pelvis, pelvic fractures are other causes of Sciatica.
