Vertigo - Overview
Vertigo is a sensation or feeling of a person that all the objects are moving around but in reality, they are not. off balance. If you have these dizzy spells, you might feel like you are spinning or that the world around you is spinning. Many children attempt to create this by spinning around for a time, generally, this lasts for a few moments and then disappears. But when it occurs spontaneously or as a result of an injury it tends to last for many hours or even days before resolving. It usually occurs due to the problem of the inner ear, vision problems, and other conditions.
Vertigo Causes and Treatment
Vertigo causes due to improper functioning of the equilibrium mechanism in the inner parts of the ear. In this condition inner ear becomes inflamed due to illness or small crystals or stone formation in the inner ear, which gets displaced and causes irritation to small hair cells within the semicircular canals, leading to vertigo. Migraine, multiple sclerosis, less supply of blood flow to the brain, stroke, head injury, infection in the ear, hardening of tissues, Meniere's disease and neck injury are the other causes of Vertigo.
